Nikola Tesla in his “Man’s Greatest Achievement” from 1907 said:
All perceptible matter comes from a primary substance or tenuity beyond conception, filling all the space. The Akasha or luminiferous ether, which is actually acted upon by the life-giving Prana or creative force as well, calling into the existence, in never ending cycles, all the things, and the phenomena.
Depending on the religion or the philosophy cited, “Akasha” generally has the same core meaning.
It is Sanskrit (or primary sacred language of Hinduism) for “aether” in both the elemental and physical sense. The existence of this ‘substance’ comes from scientists and philosophers from some ancient cultures, traditions, and faiths which date back since thousands of years. The theme also comes from Eastern mysticism and philosophy, all the way into the West and esoteric philosophy.
Quantum physics shows that human thoughts, as well as intentions and emotions, can have some sort of direct impact on our physical and material world. The scientific theories of modern day do not really recognize the real existence of Akasha. The fact that quantum physics shows us that space is not an empty place, is certainly leading to more credibility to this ancient concept.
The engineer, physicist and inventor of “Spiritual Foundations” Paramahamsa Tewari says:
The Aakash is not destructible, but it is actually the primordial absolute substratum which creates cosmic matter. Hence the properties of Askash are not found in the material properties which are in a sense relative. The Aakash is actually the eternally existent and superfluid reality. Our eyes are usually blind to the reality of spirit, and scientific experiments cannot detect it directly since our experiments can only detect the material properties which are not the attributes of Akasha.
The Akashic records.
Do you know what the Akashic records are? According to Alice Bailey, an author of more than two dozen books on theosophical subjects:
The Akashic record is like an immense photographic film. It is registering all the desires, as well as earth experiences of our planet. Those individuals that perceive it will see pictured thereon: The life experiences of every human being since time begin the reactions to the experience of the entire animal kingdom, the aggregation of the thought-forms of a karmic nature of every human unit throughout time (also based on desire). Only a trained occultist can make a difference between actual experience and those astral pictures created by imagination and a keen desire.” (This is from “Light of the Soul”, “The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali – Book 3”).
The Akashic records are something like a supercomputer of the Universe says, Edgar Cayce. They are also a central storage facility of all information for every individual in the cosmos. They record every act, deed, word, thought, feeling, emotion, intent, and motive. Apparently, these records contain the entire history of every soul since the dawn of creation.
They are actual records that are kept of a soul from the time it leaves its point of origin.
The readings that Edgar Cayce made, suggest that every person writes the story of his/her own life through their thoughts, their deeds, as well as their interactions with the rest of creation around them. This information also has an impact on us in the here and now. In fact, the Akashic records have such an effect on our lives, that any exploration of them cannot help but also provide us with insights into the nature of ourselves, as well as our relationships to the Universe. There is also much more to our lives, our histories, as well as our individual influence upon our tomorrows than we have perhaps dared to imagine.
Charles Webster Leadbeater states that these records hold the history of Atlantis, as well as various other civilizations, including Lumeria.
H.P. Blavatsky, a Russian immigrant, mystic, and founder of the Theosophical Society named, says:
Akasha is actually “one of the cosmic principles. It is also a plastic matter, creative in its physical nature, immutable in its higher principles. It is the quintessence of all possible energy forms, material, physic or spiritual. Within itself, it contains the germs of universal creation, which sprout forth under the impulse of the Divine Spirit.
Rudolf Steiner, who is philosopher, educator, and founder of the Anthroposophical Society, believed that humans are able to perceive information beyond the material world. Please remember that this is not a ‘pseudoscientific’ idea.
Are the Akashic records real?
With the information here, we just want to provide a very basic description of the Akashic records and what they actually are. We still have a lot of research to do for further understanding.
So, do you think that there is any proof of the existence of the Akashic records? Well, we are still limited with the modern day understandings of what qualifies as proof. The reality is that there is no actual way of proving it in the material way that we currently define proof. The existence of the Akashic records cannot be seen, touched, heard or otherwise measured. But, this does not mean that we cannot theorize. As Albert Einstein once said: “everything that we can imagine is real in some way.”
The same also goes for consciousness. Or the factors we often associate with consciousness, such as thoughts, feelings, emotions, perception.
So, just because we cannot see, touch, hear or measure something, it does not mean that it cannot have a direct impact on our physical material world.
One of the great arguments for its existence is the fact that it is an ancient concept for which writers are writing for years. The ancient people did not understand the science behind the phenomena they have observed. Nevertheless, their theories are usually correct. Do you think that they had better methods for gaining wisdom? There are a great number of examples where the ancient societies are considered much more ‘advanced’ than us.
Personally, we do believe that there is some sort of a ‘database’ out there where we are all connected. Everything about every individual can be found there. But, we cannot say that it exists for sure, nor can we provide any proof for its existence. All we can say is that we believe it to be true.
