life lessons

We all have plenty of life lessons we gathered along the way to be thankful for. Of course, we made mistakes. Of course we regret, and of course, we wish we could change some things. However, we have that much experience to learn from, and we should feel proud. We should feel anxious about getting into new adventures and new experiences, making new mistakes and learning new life lessons.

1. It is time to refuse going out.

You don’t have to go out if you don’t feel like it. You don’t have to go out just to make someone else happy. Do not ever feel embarrassed if you feel like staying home in the night. You shouldn’t ever feel afraid if someone will be mad at you if you don’t go out. Well, if they are, they are probably not the best friends you thought they are. Just do whatever you feel and say no.

2. Say Yes… once in a while.

To new adventures, new experiences. Say yes to crazy things and have fun. Never stay for too long in your comfort zone, or you will lose yourself. Say yes to making memories, know when and how to have fun and enjoy life.

3. Never be ashamed in the store.

You should also treat yourself! There is nothing wrong with a girl buying wine! You deserve it.

4. Get in touch with your family.

Eventually, you will learn this in the hard or the good way. Just don’t wait until it’s too late. Call your mom and dad, call your grandparents. They are important, and they won’t be there forever. Cherish them until they are here.

5. Stop pretending.

If not now, when will you stop pretending to do things you don’t like? Life is too short to waste time doing things you don’t want to. Life is too short to waste time trying to be like everyone else or trying to fit in the crowd. One of the major life lessons is to stop worrying what people think because they will always have an opinion.

6. Travel!

Get this word stuck in your head and do something about it. Travelling is super important. It will change your viewpoint from so many perspectives, and you will be forever grateful.

7. Food.

When it comes to food, never skip a meal. Enjoy delicious things and don’t be strict with yourself.

8. Love yourself.

Before even thinking of getting in a relationship, get your relationship with yourself right and start loving yourself. Get in touch with who you really are inside.

9. Stop comparing your life to others.

Of all the life lessons this one may be the most important one. Comparison. You need to stop it. It is a serious thief of joy. You only can see the edited version of people’s life. You don’t have to compare yourself to anyone else because they are not you and you are not them. A comparison will do no good for you. Just try and work on yourself, compare your achievements your results, not anyone else’s.

10. Don’t miss in life.

Just let your phone rest from time to time. Enjoy dinner. Enjoy coffee with your best friend without your phone and virtual reality disturbing you. Engage with the real life, make real connections with real people. Don’t let your time slip away.

11. Be informed.

You can learn great life lessons from other people’s experiences. This is why you need to stay informed and learn what is going on in the world.

This may be a tough one, but is one of the greatest of all life lessons you have to learn. You need to start thinking positively and be thankful. You will be happier once you master that.

Just put on sunscreen and start protecting and taking care of yourself. You will be thankful.

Such moments are precious and cherished. Spending quality time with great people you love is an essential for your wellbeing and feeling.

19. Make time for yourself.

Don’t lose yourself in being too busy too often. Don’t get yourself overwhelmed with work and overbooked with meetings. Make some time for yourself to use it to do what you love and what makes you happy. Read books. Meditate. Or just be alone. Everyone needs those moments.

20. Stop worrying.

Just stop worrying what others think of you. If you want to do something, do it before even thinking about what other people would say.

21. Learn practice.

For example, always keep an umbrella in your car.

22. Ask for help.

At this age, you have to stop being ashamed of asking for help or admitting you don’t know something. You will look a lot better if you are just being honest and ask for guidance. You will be much more appreciated, and you will learn a lot of new stuff.

23. Be kind.

To be kind is one of the life lessons that will never go out of style. As quickly as you master it better. Eventually, you will find out that being kind and loving is much easier than to being sarcastic and hurtful.

24. Life is hard sometimes.

The last but not least of the life lessons is to remember that life stinks and is hard sometimes. Even in the darkest moments, you need to stay true to yourself, you need to remember all the good things and memories and be thankful for every experience that helped you learn a lot. Have faith in yourself and be strong. You need to keep fighting and never give up. Believe that you can get through anything. Learn how to see the light on the other side, even in the darkest times.

Yes, life is hard sometimes. But you can get through anything. Just never forget how lucky you are to be alive and that there is so much to be thankful and happy about.
